There are many ways to enjoy Pilates in a group environment.
Whether by participating in a class held in a gym or health club or alternatively in a church hall or community centre.
Negatives of joining a health club or gym to participate in a Pilates class is the cost of the monthly membership.
Then there are often additional charges for a specialized class such as Pilates. This choice isn’t always economical if you only really want to participate in a Pilates class once or twice a week.
Another option is to locate classes within a community centre or church hall. These Pilates classes are often booked in blocks of 6 or 8 weeks.
Here at Infiniti Wellbeing, we provide group Pilates classes or Pilates courses in different venues.
We are based in Edinburgh, however we travel across Scotland, please contact us for availability.
Firstly, we offer Pilates classes in a corporate environment. These classes are seen by employers as a way of helping their employees to alleviate tight tense muscles in their neck and shoulders, often caused by bad posture.
The reason for these tense muscles and poor posture are often attributed to long hours working at a desk or workstation. The bad posture can also be attributed to poor core strength, which can also have a detrimental effect on the back.
The Pilates classes are taught by a qualified Level 3 Pilates Instructor.
This is a fantastic opportunity for employees to not only exercise, but to also improve their core strength and posture. They also have a chance to de-stress and unwind after their long working day.
The implementation of a Pilates program also shows that the Company are passionate about their employee’s health and wellbeing. The corporate Pilates classes generally last between 30 minutes and 45 minutes and are either scheduled at lunchtime or alternatively around 5pm after work.
Up to 10 people have the opportunity to participate in a Pilates class. Sessions are booked in blocks of 6 or 8 weeks.
We also offer small group classes within your home.
An Infiniti Wellbeing Pilates Instructor will arrive at your home at a pre-arranged time. For new clients or beginners to Pilates, we explain the concept of Pilates and then identify any injuries you may have prior to starting the session.
The number of people participating in the session very much depends on the size of the home but usual numbers are around 3-4 people.
This relaxed environment has a calming influence on participants. Allowing them to gain precious inroads into the Pilates concept in a relaxed environment.
Often the groups consists of friends, they also have the added bonus of being able to chill with friends afterwards and discuss their session over a cup of tea!
