Fitsteps is soon to be the UK's hottest fitness trend of 2013. It's a one of a kind new dance fitness class that uses a combination of Latin, Ballroom and fitness techniques.
Fitsteps has been created by Strictly Come Dancing professionals Natalie Lowe, Ian Waite and Mark Foster 6 time world champion swimmer who participated in the sixth series of Strictly Come Dancing.
Natalie Lowe, Ian Waite, Mark Foster and Infiniti Wellbeing have teamed up to bring you Fitsteps.
A combination of the best known and most popular Latin and Ballroom dances with proven fitness techniques in a dance fitness program that is capable of delivering fast fitness results, with loads of fun thrown in!
And the good news is you don’t have to be able to dance to have the best time ever!
The basic dance steps originate from ballroom and Latin dancing which includes the Samba, Cha Cha, Jive and Charleston and Waltz. The contrast of dances is amazing one minute you could be really feeling it in your arms in the tango and then move into something like the jive and the kicking of feet gives an intense leg workout.
The Waltz not only keeps your hips, legs and arms moving in a controlled way, you also have to put some brain power in get the steps right.
The range of dance styles see you working your whole body, in the first half of the class the heart rate is elevated and then it slows down and you perform more isolated movements to tone and strengthen the body.
The great thing about Fitsteps is that it’s for everyone, Ian and Natalie plan on making a golden oldies version and also a kid’s version.
This summer, I undertake the Instructor training for the first ever Fitsteps course in Edinburgh indeed in Scotland.
As a Personal trainer here in Edinburgh, I am really excited about delivering this new fitness class here in Edinburgh. The launch of Fitsteps will coincide nicely with the new series of Strictly Dancing that starts in the autumn!
